The PCS Manager will act as a source of knowledge and advice on Panel-related business and governance issues to ELEXON staff, Panel members and industry.
The PCS will support the workings of the Panel Committees, taking responsibility for the Panel plan and for the review and implementation of improvements to Panel practices. The role holder will also act as a deputy for the Panel Secretary. The holder of this role will be responsible for managing the Committee Coordination and Support function, providing efficient and effective administration, secretariat and support services for external committees.
The successful candidate will have: Broad knowledge of the BSC and BSC systems and processes; Expert knowledge of the roles, responsibilities and governance of the BSC Panel and its committees; Knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of service providers; Expert knowledge of the energy industry as a whole, particularly of the roles and responsibilities of Code Administrators and their Panels; Knowledge of the processes and work of the regulator Organisational awareness
They will have experience of recruitment and people management; Experience of interaction at a senior/director level; Knowledge and experience of providing management reporting on the team’s delivery; Experience of identifying areas for improvement, managing improvement initiatives, at a corporate level, departmental and team level; Knowledge and experience of recruitment, people management, recruitment, coaching and supporting direct reports to ensure delivery of an efficient and effective service by all team members
