The role:

Working with a leading balances and settlements business: The Compliance Analyst is a key role in the Disputes and Compliance Team which oversees delivery of the Performance Assurance Framework (PAF) – a set of 16 assurance techniques deployed against approximately 250 parties in an annual cycle of risk detection and mitigation. The primary function of the role is to provide support to the BSC Audit, a key assurance technique in the PAF

Your responsibilities:

In this role you will be responsible for managing the interface between the business and the BSC Auditor, ensuring that all BSC Audit deliverables are delivered on time to the agreed quality standards, and that the BSC Audit continues to be an effective assurance technique.

Your profile:

The successful candidate will:

  • Have at least two years of experience in the electricity market relevant to ELEXON’s role;
  • Have a knowledge of BSC Obligations, systems and processes;
  • Have a knowledge of risk management techniques;
  • Have a knowledge of audit processes and procedures;
  • Ability to acquire a detailed knowledge of the Performance Assurance Framework, with an understanding of performance monitoring data available to ELEXON;
  • Be able to build relationships with Electricity Suppliers and Supplier Agents in order to understand their concerns and issues;
  • Be aware of the changes that are occurring within the GB Electricity Market and the potential impact that these changes may have on industry stakeholders and the BSC arrangements;
  • A high level of personal integrity and professionalism;
  • Have excellent English verbal and nonverbal communication skills;
  • Be comfortable and proficient in giving presentations within a formal environment;
  • Be able to demonstrate a well-developed skill in writing both technical and analytical reports;
  • Have the ability to perform analysis on complex processes and large data sets;
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
  • Be flexible and able to manage a busy/varied workload while maintaining quality of work delivered;
  • Be able to work independently and take responsibility for tasks delivered; and
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Have a university degree
